How Exercise Can Make You Better, Happier And Healthier

“God gave me a great body and it’s my duty to take care of my physical temple” – Jean-Claude Van Damme

This is one of my favorite quotes …and you know why? because Van Damme is right. You have this body you live in and it’s up to you to take care of it. And exercising it’s a good way to do it. How good? Well good enough to change your life.

People exercise, go to the gym for many reasons… to be fit, to look good, to be healthy …Whatever reason you have, working out will not only make you look great but feel awesome ! How? well let’s see…

Exercising not only shapes and designs your body making it look awesome…but also improves your mood and your attitude. So how about some gym time? And girls…don’t be afraid to lift weights. It won’t make you look like a man. You all know men and women are different. For example men have higher testosterone levels. So if you girls lift you won’t look like a man, instead you’ll have some lean muscle…curves and strength.

Lose weight and look younger. But you know this don’t you? Keep in mind that just exercising without a proper diet won’t get you results. Many people see the word “diet” as something scary to do for a while. A good diet to me means healthy eating. And that’s a way of life not just something for a few weeks.

Exercising improves your immune system, your ability to move, improves circulation and your heart, makes bones, joints and muscles stronger. It can help you keep diseases away. Helps your skin and hair look better. In a word it will make you  “healthier”.

Work out and get that stress away, you’ll sleep better, feel better, look better! A fit body will make you feel stronger and confident. Hard to believe but this can make you succeed in your every day challenges.

More energy. I don’t know about you but I feel full of energy after working out. That’s why I usually do it in the morning. I feel great throughout the day. Working out will give you more energy and it can have a positive effect not only on your body but  in every aspect of your life.

Too many people have a sedentary life.  Sitting for hours at the office and at home it’s not good for your health. I hope the reasons above will motivate you to lead an active life. There are so many benefits so why not enjoy them?

I know it’s not easy and there are excuses all the time. But if you don’t make time for yourself today when will you? When it will be too late? There are so many types of sports and exercising and you are free to choose whatever makes you happy.

If you don’t like going to the gym you can work out in the comfort of your home or outside…whatever suits you. Just make sure you have the proper equipment and you do the exercises the right way.

I recently heard someone saying “when I enter the gym I feel like home” For many this is true. Working out can be fun. You can escape from the everyday stress, meet new people, make new friends, be a part of a community.

You may wonder why I wrote this post. The answer it’s simple…you can’t really be happy and enjoy life if you’re not healthy. We tend to forget about us, about our body, our health and why? when we have the power to make things better!  Working out it’s a great way to stay fit and healthy.

Exercising it’s not easy… it requires time, dedication and willpower. But the results will be awesome. So are you ready to change and become a better and healthier you?

One more thing to keep in mind…make sure you ask your doctor before starting any form of exercising, especially if you know you have or had some health problems.

  1. I enjoyed reading your post. My favourite quote is “I’ll be back” Arnold Swarzenegger, Terminator, my promise to myself every time I leave the gym :)
